According to the municipal finance and taxation work meeting held on Jan.8, the general budgetary revenue of Ningbo in 2007 reached 72,392 million yuan up 29% over the previous year. Among the total, fiscal revenue from local finance reached 32,912 million yuan, up 27.9% compared with that of 2006. The local fiscal revenue of Ningbo ranks No.2 after Shenzhen among 5 cities specifically designated in the state plan and No. 5 among 15 sub-provincial level cities. Fiscal revenue of Ningbo surpassed 56.1 billion yuan in 2006 and 70 billion yuan in 2007. The newly increased amount in 2007 over 2006 is 16.28 billion yuan, which is more than the total fiscal revenue of the year 2000. Generally speaking, fiscal revenue of Ningbo kept 200 million yuan per day last year.
