Currently, Hu Chen, Cha Yuan and Jiang Jiao counties in Ning Hao are titled as ecological county by Provincial Department of Environment protection. So far, 60% of total counties in Ning Hai meet the requirements in national exams for ecological counties. Therefore, Ning hai becomes the first national ecological county in Ningbo basically. The exams for national ecological county cover two kinds of requirements--- basic requirements and construction requirements. In 2003, Ning Hai passed the acceptance exam for national ecological demonstration. Since then, Ning Hai has completed 7 new environment rectification projects. Now, Ning hai is working on the construction of national ecological county in all round way.
