Ministry of Education issued the list of 420 second class special majors of universities and list of 230 demonstrations for new model of cultivating talents in 2007 academic year. Ningbo University is included. Special major developed in Ningbo University and headed by professor Li Taiwu is the breeding of aquatic products. In addition, Ningbo University will be a demonstration for reform of cultivating cultural quality of university students, headed by professor Nie Qiuhua. Meanwhile, experts are evaluating other 3 first class special majors of Ningbo University.
