According to the Municipal Quality Supervision Administration, Department of Energy of the USA is to revise the energy saving standards and testing measures of fluorescent lights and reflector incandescent lamps, so as to further enhance the requirements of energy saving towards lights. It will have some impact to the export of lamp products of Ningbo enterprises. At present, 60% of lamps in the US market are from China. Ningbo is the biggest manufacturing base of out-door lamps in China. In 2007, export vale of lamps, illumination products in Ningbo reached 663 million US dollars, including 126 million US dollars from the US market. After the revision of energy saving standards and testing measures, more strict demands will be put on the products exported to the USA, those failed to met the new requirements will be refused to enter the US market.
