Community medical service stations will use low prices medicines, accounting for 85% of varieties of total medicines in 2010. The news was released at the meeting held by Bureau of Public health. Now, about 60% of people go to community medical service stations when they are ill. Then, how can they enjoy low price medicines? After investigation, Ningbo Bureau of Public health issued documents on application of low price medicines in community medical service stations. Medicines called as low price medicines are those sold by medical enterprises or drug stores and its minimum package has the price below 30 Yuan, just like stipulated in relevant regulations issued by Ministry of Public Health. In 2008, the value percentage of low price medicines will increase by 8%. Till 2010, the value will account for 75% of the total.
