A peony show, the first of the kind in Beilun, was held at the agriculture park on April 12. The show was open after half year's meticulous preparation and was jointly hosted by the agriculture park, the tourism bureau and the Jiangnan Peony Garden.

　　Beilun is a home of flowers and trees. With decades of development, the plant area has totaled 70,000 Chinese mu, with the output reaching 400 million yuan per year.

　　The Jiangnan Phony Garden, covering an area of 40 Chinese mu, gathers nine categories of phoney flowers, with 226 varieties and a total number of over 10,000 trees. It is one of the biggest phony gardens at the southern flank of the Yangtze Delta.
