According to Ningbo Public Traffic Administration, from May 2, 50 passenger busses departing from Ningbo will start use Hangzhou Bay Cross-sea Bridge instead of the Hu-Hang-Yong Expressway. With this change, the distance will be shortened by 60 to 100 km, and the time will be shortened by 45 to 60 minutes, and the ticket fare will drop down. The fare from Ningbo to Shanghai will drop from 100 yuan to 90 yuan.
It is learned that in Ningbo City, there are 50 bus services or 106 buses will use the Hangzhou Bay Cross-sea Bridge, and the destinations are mainly Jiaxing, Shanghai and Jiangsu. So far, all these bus lines have been using the Hu-Hang-Yong Expressway. Since May 2, the buses will use the shortcut Hangzhou Bay Cross-sea Bridge. From example, the bus line from Ningbo to Shanghai will have its distance shortened from 316 km to 225 km, about 100 km less, with about 1 hour saved.
