When the news about the earthquake came, migrant workers working in Ningbo were very worried about the family back in the hometown. The companies tried all out to appease them in order that they could pull though the hard time.

　　The BEST Electric Appliances Company of Yuyao has about 900 workers, 60 of whom are from Sichuan Province. Kan Lunyuan and his wife are from Beichun of Sichuan, the harder-hit area by the earthquake. They have parents, children and a dozen siblings there.

　　The leaders of the company sent some consolation money to them after they leaned about it. The Shenzhou Knitwear Company in Beilun has 3000 workers from Sichuan. Among them, a worker named An Min is from the Beichuan County of Sichuan.

　　To appease the workers, the Shenzhou Company started up the emergency fund.Many workers tell our correspondent that though they want to go back home as soon as possible, they’d better stay at the company, considering the inconvenient transport conditions there
