The devastating earthquake that occurred at Wengchun of Sichuan 14:28 PM, May 12, has claimed thousands of lives and severe damages to the properties. To help the relief work there, the Municipal government of Ningbo called an emergency meeting on the very day to make arrangements for providing relief for the disaster-hit areas.

　　The meeting also called for donations of cash and commodities from all walks of life, so as to let the victims to pull through the hard time.
