People from all walk’s life in Beilun warmly welcomed the oncoming Beijing Olympics. Various activities such as paper cutting, walking, jogging, sporting meeting, bicycling etc were held among the locals in Beilun to celebrate the Olympic Games. Pupils in Gaotang Primary School organized a paper cutting competition where over 300 hundred of competitors took part in. Over hundreds of senior citizens in Xiaogang street participated in a parade in Beilun to express their expectations for the Olympics. Over 130 handicapped citizens in Baifeng joined in a sports meeting organized by the local association of the handicapped, in which they both enjoyed themselves and extended best wishes for the Beijing Olympics. Women’s association in Chunxiao town organized over hundreds of volunteers to ride bicycles around the town to populate the idea of Olympics.
