When disaster strikes, help comes from all sides. The Beilun-based Taiwan-funded companies are actively donating money for the quake-hit areas in Sichuan these days. By May 23, the donations have totaled 3.7 million yuan.

　　On May 13, one day after the earthquake struck, Ningbo Formason Rubber Group Inc. started to donate money. Each of the executives and employees donated one-day salary. On the very day, the donations totaled 33,999 yuan. The Loyal Group donated a sum of half a million yuan. Mr. Wang Xianguang, a Taiwanese working with an American company in Beilun donated 30,000 yuan. The Beilun Taiwan Association donated a sum of one million yuan.
