The measures specifies approaches to accelerate the construction of a capital of international conference and exhibition, Construction of the platform for the construction of the Capital of International Conference and Exhibition, the nurture of international exhibitions, and ways for the promotion of exhibition brands and so on.

　　The construction of a Capital of International Exhibitions is an important step in Ningbo's efforts in the construction of a modern international port city. According the measures, the shot-term goal of the construction is, within five years, Ningbo should be an entrepot of international commerce, a well-equipped international conference center with beautiful environment, an international purchasing base in China, a supply base for imported equipment an raw materials, a major base in the Changjiang River Delta for international exhibitions, a logistic base for import and export trade, and an entrepot for large import and export enterprises of China and for international marketing institutions.

　　To be specific, Ningbo will try to have a number of highly foreign-oriented and highly appealing programs for conference and exhibition, a number of highly internationalized leading conferences and exhibitions, a number of highly professional and creative talents. In five years, Ningbo will strive to host 10 international exhibitions for foreign machinery equipment, 10 jointly hosted domestic exhibitions for export and foreign trade, 10 export exhibitions in Ningbo International Trade and Exhibition Center (hereafter called NITEC) for counties and districts. With these exhibitions, Ningbo will make efforts to nurture 3 world-known exhibitions, 5 domestically-known exhibitions, and initially become a capital of international conference and exhibition that features for import and export trade.
