Ever since June 8, 2008, the province of Zhejiang has experienced several strong rainfalls. 1.226 million people in Hangzhou, Quzhou, Huzhou, Jinhua, and Jiaxing have suffered from the strong rainfall. The direct economic loss has reached 1.084 billion yuan though it has been any injuries or deaths reported until now.

　　It was reported that since June 13, 2008, there will be a new round of strong rainfall, and the government has warmed that all the related government departments and people should take precautious measures to against the possible risks that will be caused by the rainfall.
