With the price of the product oil raised last month, the fuel surcharges of domestic airlines will increase from July 1. That means air passengers will have to pay a little bit more.
We learned from the ticketing office of the airport that the fuel surcharge is to soar up by 50%.
Xue Ya, Chief of Passenger Dept, Hanghong Development Co.: “The raise is great in margin. The fuel surcharge of 100 yuan for a distance up to 800 kilometers will be raised to 150 and that below 800 kilomters will be raised from 60 yaun to 80 yuan.”
The ticket office advises that as the busy season of tourism is to arrive; those planning to go travelling had better book tickets as early as possible. The earlier they book, the higher discount rate they will get.
Xue Ya, Chief of Passenger Dept, Hanghong Development Co.: “Generally, the discount is about 50-60% off. The lines are mostly to Guangzhou, Shenzhen and Sanya. The rebates are quite good”.
