The State Oceanic Administration started the National Maritime Day campaign last Friday. The theme for the maritime day is set as "Embrace Green Olympics and Care for Blue Sea". To observe the country’s first maritime day, some 30 young people with the state ocean surveillance bureau and the Xiangshan Maritime and Fishery Bureau busied themselves in clearing away trash at the Songlanshan.

　　At the beach of Songlanshan, some 30 young people are clearing away the food packages and mineral water bottles that were discarded by tourists.

　　With the development of coastal tourism, Xiangshan people's awareness of protecting the ocean has increased greatly and the marine resources have recovered to some extent. But the task of maritime protection is still grave.
