Last Thursday, the provincial government of Zhejiang held a televised conference on the emergency control of the Sanlu tainted baby milk powder. Governor Lu Zushan attended the meeting and he stressed that emergency coping measures need to be put in place and competent departments need to do well the screening and treatment of the affected babies. He also called for a tight supervision of producers of dairy products.
