An authority of Yinzhou Sports Bureau yesterday said, Yinzhou is going to be a regular host of China-Russia International Chess Dual Meet.
The annual China-Russia International Chess Dual Meet is hosted by China and Russia in turn. It is learned that since China International Chess Team set its headquarters in Yinzhou, it reached an agreement with Yinzhou that Yinzhou should be a meeting place for international or domestic matches. Recently, an agreement was reached by the two parties that in the next five years, all China-hosted meets should take place in Yinzhou. Authorities of related departments said that after China International Chess Team settled in Yinzhou, Yinzhou has been taking measures to create another sports brand. Since China-Russia Chess Dual Meet is the highest meet of the kind, this is expected to update the image of Yinzhou.
