People have been much concerned about the safety of the milk they drink each day since the milk powder scandal was disclosed shortly before. The other day, the quality supervision bureau organized 100 citizens to visit the Ningbo milk group. They watched the whole process of milk production.
Ms Chen is a resident of the Taiyang Community. She wants to know whether the milk has been tested before being processed. After listening to the introduction of the staff workers of the milk group, she feels much relieved.
Many of them ask about the cream on the cap of the milk bottle which tastes strongly fragrant before and now tastes much lighter.
The technician said: “The raw milk un-homogenized will have a layer of fat above. So it tastes much stronger. After homogenizing, the fat is refined and totally resolved in milk. So it is easy to digest and absorb. But the taste is a bit lighter.”
So the light taste is not because of addition of water, but because of scientific processing. The milk thus treated is easier to digest and absorb.
With the puzzles well solved, the residents say that they feel much relieved about the milk quality.
